Haunted
Indian Skull
…and Other Tales of the Paranormal Across North
Carolina
Twenty-five true startling revelations of the
paranormal as told to Gail from her readers across
the state that encourage us to keep our internal
antennae sharp and aware and not be frightened by
the other realm, perhaps within our very own, but to
embrace it with acceptance and awe. This collection
includes some of Gail’s personal experiences with an
introduction of explanation and detail of many more
of such events around the country. |

He
threatened to punish the child if he did not tell
him the truth, for there was no way a small boy
could have crawled out of a well three feet wide and
over twenty feet deep that had a slick surface on
all sides. But, Derrick insisted he was not lying,
and James finally went to look.
He felt sick at the sight of the caved-in, rotten boards lying in
disarray upon the ground. Ashamed and confused, he
immediately reached down and gathered the tiny child
in his arms.
“He got me out,” Derrick said, as his wet body clung to James.
“That man in the house...the one in the big picture
over the fireplace. When I fell in the hole, he
reached way down there and pulled me out. He was
wearing big black boots and a green uniform with
lots of shiny buttons and medals. And he had on a
little green hat too, just like in the picture in
the house. It was he. I know it was. He pulled me
out and left me here and told me to wait for you,
that you’d make everything alright.”
